Being sardines in bed on Sunday mornings is awesome!

I laughed at the thought of sardines in a can as all four of us laid in our bed this morning.  As the sun is coming up earlier, there is no sleeping in at the Brillhart house! The boys tend to wake up between 6:30-6:45.  If Noah is not awake, Quentin will proceed to go in and wake him up and then yell down that "Noah is awake!" and will not come down until we go and get him up.  Quentin likes to tell us to get out of bed because it is light outside.  He obviously has no concept of time and thinks it is time to rock and roll even though it is still sooooo early!! I love every minute of it though! The boys laid cozy between Darcy and I this morning and just laughed at one another.  It was so cute.

Here are Noah's 7 month pictures.  He is growing and changing so fast.  He really wants to crawl and is having his own little way of doing it.

We are so excited for next weekend to go to Kentucky and meet up with our good friends the Clarks at Lake Cumberland.  It should be alot of fun if we can keep our sanity with four kids!

Motherhood is a blessing!

There is no way to be a perfect mother, and a million ways to be a good one. -Jill Churchill

I really like this quote as it humbles me on my journey as a mother to remember not to aim for perfectionism but just to be the best mother that I can day in and day out.  Today, I think about the important role I play as a mother but also how many women have played such an important role in my life.

This week, my grandmother went through a heart valve replacement surgery in Kansas City.  She is 90 years old and the surgery went perfectly. However, she is currently being held in the hospital due to bladder issues.  I know this is not how she would want to spend her Mother's Day. However, she is a very strong woman and has such a strong desire to feel better that she underwent this surgery at age 90.  She has played such an important role in my life and I love her dearly.  I pray and ask your prayers for her swift recovery!

I think of my mom today and how she has grown to be one of my best friends.  I love her dearly and thank God for her today and every day.  She has helped shape me into the mother that I am today and that I hope to become in the future.

The boys and Darcy have treated me like a queen this weekend which is really no different than any other day because they always are doing small things here and there.  Quentin melts my heart with his hugs, kisses, and "I love you's".  Noah is such a little cuddler and he makes me smile every time I look at him.  I feel blessed today and every day to be fortunate enough to have been blessed to be the mother of these little boys!

Being spoiled by Pa Pa

My dad arrived last week and boy has he been spoiling his grandsons!  Quentin and him have made a trip to the Braves game, Cyclorama museum, Talladega Nascar Race, McDonalds about 3 times, and the mall.  Noah is also being spoiled by hugs and kisses.  It is wonderful having him here.  I love watching him with the boys.

We went and had family pictures done yesterday by one of my good friends, Shana. She did Noah's newborn pictures. She is so very talented. I can't wait to see them all.

We were so saddened to hear that our dog in Kansas, Winnie, had to be put down yesterday.  She had not been doing very well for a while and got very sick on Sunday. It was very difficult for my mom to bring in her in while dad was gone but she knew there was no hope. Winnie was a wonderful little Yorkie for 14 years! She brought many laughs to our family and will be greatly missed! We love you Winnie!
