We are coming off of a great weekend together as a family. It makes me sad though, because I know that it will be our last full weekend together as a family for a while. I have to work next weekend and we are going back to Kansas for a week the July 4th week which we are very excited about. However, Quentin will be staying in Kansas for 3 weeks to be spoiled by his grandparents. We will miss him so much but I know he will have such a special time with all of his grandparents.
It hit me a couple weeks ago as Noah, Quentin, and I sat playing on a Monday morning that our time as three on Monday and Friday mornings is coming to a close quickly since Quentin will be Kansas and then starting school right after that for half days 5 days a week. A sadness came over me when I realized that my little boy is growing up. We have spent almost 4 years together on Monday and Fridays and I have cherished every moment! The bright side is that Noah will get his much needed one on one attention by mommy on those mornings.
We had a really fun weekend. Spent a great day and evening with our good friends the Corbetts at the pool and then eating a wonderful dinner. We went to church and ran errands and relaxed this afternoon with naps. I love Sunday afternoon naps! Quentin and I always nap together and generally Darcy and Noah cuddle.
Noah is really making strides! He is an official crawler. For the past couple months he has been scooting along but he is officially doing a crawl now and our lives are about to get even busier chasing him around. He is loving his new freedom! He is also trying to pull up on things. We found that he is cutting his first tooth. He also just tried today some finger food of yogurt bites and loved them!
Here are some cute pictures of the boys loving their bath time together and Noah trying finger food for the first time.

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day to all of those fathers out there!
Today and every day, I am so grateful for my dad. He has helped shaped me in so many wonderful ways. He is a great dad but I must say he is an outstanding grandfather! I am so happy that he gets to be in my boy's lives.
Today, I am also so thankful for Darcy. He is such a wonderful dad to Quentin and Noah. He plays an equal role in everything that our boys do and I see so much of him in them.
I also am very thankful for Darcy's dad, Bobby Brillhart. He helped raise such a wonderful son and so many of his great qualities are because of his dad.
We have had a great week. Quentin was only able to have one swim lesson due to the pool being broken. He only has 3 more to go and it has been a whirlwind of a difference since his first lesson. He is loving them!
We are just taking it easy this weekend and it has been very relaxing. Here are some pictures of the boys in the back yard.

New things can be challenging!
We had a challenging but great week!
This past weekend we were able to spend time with our friends the Corbetts. The boys had so much fun playing together for about 4 hours straight. We were blessed on Sunday to attend a reception to welcome a newly ordained priest into the church and received a blessing for our family. I have been told there is something very special about a blessing from a newly ordained priest so we felt very lucky to have received one from him.
This week posed some new challenges for Quentin. He started swim lessons on Monday and we had to leave after 15 minutes due to him refusing to do anything. He was crying and I was about to as well! We talked about it with him and did a little bribing which helped Wednesday's practice go much smoother! Tuesday, Darcy and Quentin went to Quentin's future pre-school to do some preliminary testing. Quentin's strong will and also shyness took affect and it took a lot of coaxing to get him to do the tests but he ended up doing them and tested very well! He will start school in August at Chapel Hill Christian School and can potentially go through the fifth grade. We are all very excited!
Quentin, Noah, and I went yesterday over a friend's house from church to pick blueberries. We had a lot of fun!
We celebrated the end of the week at Chuck E Cheese playing some games with Quentin last night. I have to admit....I was anti- Chuck E. Cheese but after playing the games during a slow evening and watching the pleasure on Q's face, I would go back. =)

Wonderful past Weekend!
Wow! What a week it has been! That is why I am just now getting to blogging rather than my normal Sunday routine. We went Friday-Monday to Kentucky to meet up with our good friends the Clarks. We wanted to do a trip this year where we would meet half way between Georgia and Ohio and Kentucky offered this. We stayed at Lake Cumberland Resort in an awesome house on the side of the mountains. We actually never once went to the lake but enjoyed spending time together at the pool, cooking, playing pool, and laughing until our belly's hurt. Laughter means it was a successful trip! We all were exausted due to late nights and Noah was in our room and not feeling very well so we were pretty tired at times but the fun times out weighed being tired. We were also on a mission to convince them that they need to move back to Georgia. We will see how well we did in the near future. =)
I dove into work on Tuesday and Darcy was smart and took the day off to recover. So needless to say... the boys and I have nothing planned for today on my day off except to take it easy.
We have a church event on Sunday but other than that we will be enjoying spending some down time together as a family. Really looking forward to it.
